Dawn of a new era!
To celebrate the dawn of a new era, here are some predictions of what’s in store for us all!
The ingress of Saturn into Libra (sign of relationships and love ) occurs around 15;09 hours GMT on 21/7/10. What follows is a generalized viewpoint of how it may affect the collective of which you are a part ! ( the individual effect on you will be unique depending on your birthchart. However as the mystical truth goes “as above so below” you will get what you require on a certain level from what is described here.
Firstly ingress means entrance and so the much awaited shift from Saturn in Virgo to this airy cardinal sign of Libra should afford many of us a great sigh of relief. Whilst in the earth sign of Virgo for the last 2.5 years it has been about harvesting, purification and pruning on many levels of our lives. So it can provoke anxiety and getting caught up in a myriad of details which if negative can create tensions and a bit of a downward spiral into negative thinking and constant fault finding. The positive side of it was getting things into a better order and looking at the reality without the rose tinted spectacles so it has kept us all well and truly grounded in the “now”. When it moves into Libra today it will spend the next 2 years there.
The sign of Libra rules relationships, marriage, balance, and is the great fence sitter of the zodiac. It’s the 7th sign of the zodiac and is symbolized by the scales. Always the diplomat but often unable to make a stand it easily sits in the middle of conflicts and views both sides of the story or issue with the ability to empathise and understand. There is a constant need to find balance and harmony so it is related to the 3rd Ray of active intelligence and the 7th Ray of ceremonial order and magic by it’s Soul ruler Uranus! Libra is the personification of Right Human Relations and is active in furthering the unity between all peoples.* Learning to balance the oppposites within and walking the middle path is therefore essential.
Saturn is the cosmic school teacher and harbinger of karma for us all particularly in the area or classroom where its placed in your chart! Every 28 years we see Saturn move into libra and the last time it spent its 2.5 years sojourn there was between 1980 and 1983. ( It had a brief initial sojurn into Libra from October 2009 to April 2010) Libra is the sign of Saturn’s exaltation and at its highest level it can be seen to teach us about inner integration, an inner marriage of opposites and the possibility of inner wholeness as opposed to dependency on another. Interestingly enough Lady Diana Spencer married Prince Charles when Saturn (and Jupiter and Pluto) were in Libra and seen symbolically they played out the notion of romantic love only to be brought down to Earth with an almighty bump! In their actual marriage the ideal partner turned out to be less than perfect but afforded them both the search for the true love each had within. Often this is what Saturn in Libra teaches and may bring to the forefront in your life so its a time of looking at your intimate relationships and connecting with your Soul for lessons in growth through relationships that work and the release or re-negotiation of those that no longer serve that purpose. Indeed we may well see an increase in the use of Divorce and mediation services during this period.
However it cannot be taken in isolation and as there is so much going on in the cosmos right now it will help to balance the intense energies that surround us all and allow a bit of deference amidst any chaos that may affect your personal life and relationships. Saturn is not necessarily destructive it just likes to shine a light on the reality of life and tends to show where you need to knuckle down and work. It then brings all sorts of benefits as it rules discipline, focus, responsibility and accountability. Indeed integrity in relationships will be the key whether they are business or personal ones so you will reap the rewards in either or both if you play fairly and live by these qualities in your life! The only caveat to this and its a major one relates to the opposition to Uranus (revolutionary change and awakener of all that has been denied) and the square to Pluto in Capricorn. This means that there could be a power struggle (Pluto) between the desire for freedom (Uranus) and the block of being tied into old arrangements or responsibilites that feel difficult to release without causing (the other) pain. Libra is a sign that avoids pain at all cost and Capricorn loves the security of the established conditions and yet here comes Uranus now in Aries ready for a brand new beginning despite the chaos it may cause initially (chaos as Uranus rules Libra in the Esoteric system and will move back into Pisces from mid August until early March 2011) to shake us all out of our ego driven ways and force us kicking and screaming in some cases into a new dawn.
That new dawn is upon us now as Uranus has moved into Aries and opposes Saturn for the final time on 26th July. Each time this opposition has occurred there have been major planetary shifts. The first one was in November 2008(remember Obama became the very first black/American President of USA amidst the stock market crash that had recently preceded this!) Then we had 3 further oppositions -February 2009, September 2009 and late April 2010) I expect we can wave goodbye to a lot of what’s gone before. Everything is gathering pace and with Jupiter also in Aries this is all about great awakenings to a new realisation that we are each responsible for our unique destiny and living our Sacred Purpose fully and without fear.
A tall order indeed-however that’s why you chose this time to be born. So rejoice and open to the challenges and the achievements that can result for us all from this dawn of a new era as this really is IT!
